| Residential Home |
 |
|
We run a residential home in east London, which provides
seven adults affected by autism with a home in a safe, supportive
environment.
The residential home opened in 1991. The property is owned by London
& Quadrant Housing Trust and is managed by autism london.

| Our residential home aims
to provide residents with: |
|
- A safe, caring environment where they can live rewarding and
fulfilling lives within the community.
- Opportunities to learn and develop new skills and enhance skills
which are already mastered.
|

|
- The opportunity to use community resources.
- An environment where residents can make informed choices about
their day to day lives and longer-term goals.
- A home where they have the right to privacy, dignity, self respect
and respect from others.
- Recreational activities that will enable them to develop their
social skills.
|
- An experienced staff team to support the residents in living
an independent life as much as possible.
- An environment where their cultural, spiritual and emotional
needs are met.
We feel that this accommodation and support scheme is an example of good practice and we hope that it
will act as a role model for other organisations working in this field. |
