| Our Services |
| autism london is a funded registered charity,
originally formed in 1984 by parents concerned about the lack of provision
for people with autism and Asperger syndrome. autism london was formerly
known as North East London Autistic Society (NELAS) but changed its name
in 1995 to meet the increased demand of services to cover Greater London.
With our Head Office based in Islington and our residential home based in Leyton, we provide impartial support, advice and information to individuals, their families and carers, and professionals affected by autism and Asperger syndrome living in Greater London. Since October 2003 we have joined forces with a leading learning disabilities
service provider mcch Society Ltd, based in Maidstone. While we continue
to be supported through external funding, our partnership will enable
autism london and mcch to develop our services and share our expertise
to secure long-term service provision to adults, families and organisations
living and working with autistic spectrum disorders. |
